Alejandro Sanz Success Continues: Latin Star Maintains Position In Top 10 Most Sold Albums

Alejandro Sanz success continues. The Latin star maintains its position as one of the 10 most sold albums in the United States and Puerto Rico from “La Música No Se Toca“, twenty-five weeks after its release according to the Soundscan monitoring system published by Billboard magazine.

In addition, “La Música No Se Toca” has been certified Gold in Brazil, a feat uncommon for artists singing in Spanish. Last Sunday, March 17 Alejandro delighted fans at San Paulo’s Credicard Hall at a sold-out concert.

One of the evening’s most magical moments was when Brazilian singer Roberta Sa join Sanz on stage to perform the songs “Bailo con vos” by Alejandro Sanz and “Voce nao poderia surgir agora” by Roberta Sa. The fans were able to witness the wonderful chemistry between Sanz and his special guest star, who had worked together previously on the track “Bailo con vos” for the Brazilian edition of “La música no se toca“.

“La Música No Se Toca” is the most successful Latin pop album of the moment at an international level. It has been certified quintuple-platinum in Spain, double-platinum in Colombia, platinum in Mexico and Argentina and gold in the United States and Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru, Uruguay and Chile.

Alejandro is the recipient of three Grammy awards and sixteen Latin Grammy awards and has sold more than 22 million albums throughout the span of his career. His most recent album “La Música no se Toca” debuted at #1 on the Top Latin Albums chart published by Billboard and continues to be the highest-selling Latin pop album in the United States and Puerto Rico, maintaining this position since its release last September. It’s first single “No Me Compares” was #1 on the “Hot Latin Songs” chart for various weeks and reached #1 in sales on iTunes in the U.S. and 17 countries around the world.

Sanz’s tour will continue his tour in Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica, before beginning its United States leg on May 1st at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. He continues to tweet and thanks fans for the support in Brazil.
