Could this be the real reason Kris Humphries is stalling the divorce process?
Just last week we learned that Kim Kardashian wants to speed things up and get the divorce over with for the sake of the baby -- she doesn't want to be married to Humphries when her baby with Kanye West is born. Now TMZ has allegedly uncovered the real reason things aren't going Kim's way: Kris Humphries is threatening to destroy Kim Kardashian's reality TV career unless he gets what he wants in the divorce.
According to legal documents obtained by the gossip site, Kim's attorney, Laura Wasser, strongly believes that Humphries' lawyer, Lee Hutton, was lying when he said he didn't plan to "blow the lid off reality television." In other words: Yes, that's totally his plan, and he's using the divorce as a vehicle to execute it.
What do Humphries and his lawyer want in exchange for keeping quiet and not "exposing" Kim's show? Money, and/or an annulment, as suggested in the documents (Kris has been consistently adamant about getting the marriage annulled, saying he feels cheated and thinks the whole marriage was a fraud).
Wasser also added that during the deposition, Hutton's questions to the show's producers were barely touching on the divorce, if at all. Questions like "Is any aspect of season 6 [which features Humphries] scripted? If so, who maintains those scripts?" and "It's not uncommon for a producer ... to give direction to cast members during a particular scene, is it?" were in fact intended to pull the curtain back on the multimillion dollar franchise that made the Kardashians what they are today.
As for Humphries' claim that he can't attend Kim's deposition because his schedule has him tied up until May or June, which means Kim's deposition has to be pushed back to May or June (when her baby is due in July), Wasser says it's not true -- Humphries has plenty of days off.
