Ronaldinho Penalty Saved: Joe Hart Double Save Helps England Defeat Brazil (VIDEO)

Ronaldinho Denied.. Twice

Ronaldinho's return to the Brazil starting XI almost got off to the perfect start.

Almost. But England goalkeeper Joe Hart got in the way, twice.

Making his first apearance for the Selecao since a friendly in February 2012, the 32-year-old playmaker earned a spot kick in the 19th minute after a crossing effort from the left wing found the hand of England's Jack Wilshere at the edge of the penalty area. The two-time FIFA World Player Of The Year calmly stepped to the spot and stroked a low, right-footed shot toward the right corner of the net.

Either guessing correctly or having caught some tell in Ronaldhino's preparation, Hart went low to his left and blocked the shot. Even more impressive, he recovered quickly enough to turn back Ronaldinho's diving follow-up effort. After the double save, Neymar's effort at the second rebound went out of bounds.

England would grab the lead on a Wayne Rooney goal in the 26th minute and take that 1-0 lead into the intermission at Wembley. Although Fred would equalize for Brazil early in the second half, Frank Lampard would lash home the winner in the 60th minute.
