(DETROIT) -- A firefighter has been hospitalized following an early-morning fire in Detroit on Friday.

The blaze was reported around 3 a.m., with fire crews being dispatched to the 9200 block of Rutherford Street. As crews battled the flames at the home, published reports state that a firefighter fell through the floor and was then taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
