WATCH: Drew Barrymore: Motherhood Is Like 'Having The Worst Crush Of Your Life'

New mom Drew Barrymore says the experience of being a mother is "like having the worst crush of your life" -- in a good way, of course. On September 26, 2012, just three months after their wedding, Barrymore and her husband, Will Kopelman, welcomed their first child, Olive Barrymore Kopelman. On "Oprah's Next Chapter," Barrymore explains to Oprah what motherhood is like.

"Everyone says, 'What's parenthood like?'" says Barrymore. "The only word that came across my world was 'indescribable,' because I thought it was good in the way that no words are eloquent and thorough enough to describe it. And then the thing I've designed saying is: 'It's like having the worst crush of your life.' I drive home with heart palpitations like I can't wait to get to her."

Barrymore says she also wonders what her relationship with Olive will be as they both grow older. "I think, 'Is she going to call, if I play my cards right? Will she ask me to spend the night, if I just do everything right and and I'm perfect, even though there is no such thing as perfection?'"

Watch "Oprah's Next Chapter" on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
