'Losing My Religion' In Major Key? R.E.M. Classic Gets Upbeat Remix (VIDEO)

WATCH: One Small Change Makes Sad Song Happy

"I thought that I heard you laughing" takes on a whole new meaning when "Losing My Religion" is done in a major key.

A Vimeo user who goes by MajorScaled TV has "re-modulated" the R.E.M. classic "Losing My Religion" to be in a major key instead of a minor one, changing the tenor of the song pretty drastically. No longer a forlorn ballad pining for lost innocence, it's now a celebration of love that once was. It's like if "Shiny Happy People" had way sadder lyrics.

He's also given the same treatment to The Doors, Metallica and Django Reinhardt.
