Why is there so much golfing in Miami? Retirees! Year-round sunshine! Did we mention the weather?
And yes, Miami's also rife with exclusive clubs where members putter around on VIP greens while sipping Tom Collins cocktails.
But for the rest of us, there are plenty of open-to-the-public golf courses too -- from the picturesque Biltmore in Coral Gables to more modest greens at Greynolds Park near North Miami Beach.
Can't play? No worries, some courses even offer expert instruction.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story indicated that the course at Greynolds Park is a 36-hole course. While it is a par-36 course, there are only 9 holes.
