'The Sisterhood': Domonique's Shocking Past

Domonique opened up about her difficult childhood on the second episode of "The Sisterhood." The new TLC series follows a group of pastor's wives, but Domonique's journey to get to this point was one filled with challenges. She told the women she'd grown up in an abusive foster home until she ran away at age 13. She then lived on the streets, working as a prostitute.

"I had a string of guys all the way around the corner from 9:00 at night ‘til 5:00 in the mornings. It was that type of traffic for me," she revealed. "And that's when I got introduced to drugs."

"To numb the pain?" Ivy asked her, which was exactly it.

So many people who fall to such depths never see the light again, so her story proved an uplifting one. There is always hope of a better future.
