Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile Had A Button That Emitted Hot Dog Smell (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

BREAKING: The Wienermobile Has A Smelly Secret (PHOTOS)

Happiness is a warm bun.

Paradise is an exclusive ride in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, and a chance to get answers to all the questions the world has been waiting to ask. On the top of that list: the legend of the hot dog smell button.

Only those in the inner circle of Wienermobile lore know about the hot dog smell button. It was said that the captain of this majestic meat ship could press said button, and the Wienermobile would emit a smell of beautifully charred Oscar Mayer hot dogs. He would have subliminal control over the lunch decision of dozens of passersby.

In an interview with HuffPost Weird News, a Wienermobile driver -- known as a Hotdogger -- finally confirmed the legend. The smell button is real.

The Weirdest Wienermobile Ride Ever

"It's true," said Theresa Brenner, a 23-year-old Hotdogger who is currently co-piloting the Wienermobile up and down the East Coast.

Sadly, you won't be smelling the Wienermobile before you see it any time soon. The hot dog smell was retired in the 1988 fleet of Wienermobiles. The current, 2004 model has voice-controlled GPS, a walk-in closet and speakers that blare the age-old Oscar Mayer theme song, but no bathroom and no hot dog smell.

That said, Brenner, co-Hotdogger Ben Urkov and five other Wienermobiles are spreading joy throughout the nation. Check out the photos above or the video below for a taste.
