Best Movie Comedy & Musical Golden Globes: 'Les Miserables' And 'Silver Linings Playbook' Among Nominees

Golden Globes Nominations For Best Movie Comedy & Musical Announced

The nominations for the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced and the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category exhibits some of the year's best.

The nominees for the award are "Les Miserables," "Silver Linings Playbook," "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," and "Moonrise Kingdom."

"Les Miserables" also received nominations for Best Original Song and Best Actor for Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway. Directed by Tom Hooper, the movie also stars Russell Crowe, and Amanda Seyfried.

At last year's 69th annual Golden Globe Awards, "The Artist" beat out "50/50," "Bridesmaids," "Midnight in Paris," and "My Week with Marilyn" to win the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. The award was first given out to 1951's "An American in Paris."

The 70th annual Golden Globes will take place on Jan. 13, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been tapped to host the awards.
