About 200 runners wearing only barely-there briefs ran through the heart of Chicago's Boystown district on Saturday as part of the city's second annual Most Fabulous Santa Speedo Run.

The event, which began in Boston in 2000, raised more than $7,000 for Vital Bridges, a Chicago-based non-profit that provides those impacted by HIV/AIDS with food, housing, nutrition counseling and other services, on Saturday, which also happened to be World AIDS Day.

Event organizer Jeff Colgan told DNAinfo.com Chicago that the money raised by the event "exceeded expectations."

Lakeview Patch was on the scene to catch the scantily-clad joggers in action. Scroll down to view a selection of photos from the event and head to Patch for the full set.
