Taylor Swift Dating Rumors Make Pop Star Cry

Taylor Swift revealed to Harper's Bazaar that she has spent hours crying about things she's read about herself online, but the songstress still has plenty to smile about.

The 22-year-old superstar, who sold 1.2 million copies of her latest album "Red" in its first week alone, can wipe those tears away with the millions of dollars she's made turning her personal heartbreak into inspiration for her hit songs.

Swift is Bazaar's December/January cover girl and she tells the magazine that since her romantic life plays out in the media, she's forced herself to stop reading about herself.

"What I had to learn to do, in order to maintain a general happiness in my life, was to stop reading everything,” she explains.

The pop star who is the highest-paid entertainer under 30 -- pulling $57 million last year, according to Forbes -- continues:

“And then it gets really bad if you go through a breakup and those blogs have these polls asking, ‘Who should they date next?’ And you’re just sitting there staring at the laptop bawling," she told the magazine. “But you can live in a normal world where a breakup is just a breakup if you don’t expose yourself to what’s being speculated about yourself. That’s where I live now.”

While Swift may gripe about how her personal life is discussed so publicly, that's how she made a name for herself in the first place. Swift is a talented singer-songwriter, but it's her often scathing songs about her equally famous exes that garnered perhaps more attention than she really deserves.

But then again, Taylor Swift is boy crazy and if she didn't sing about relationships, she might not have anything to sing about. In fact, when she tells Bazaar about her close group of friends that includes actresses Emma Stone and Selena Gomez, she revealed that they "never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects. We just talk about relationships, feelings, love, and boys."

We're not shocked by this admission, since this is the same woman who told Rolling Stone, "It's a whole Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland structure here. It's what the inside of my brain looks like, essentially."
