Bacon Mobius Strip: Shapeways 3D Printers Creates 'Bacon' In Fantastical Shape (VIDEO)

WATCH: Mobius Strip Bacon

Thanks to the imaginative folks at Shapeways 3D printers, weird-shaped bacon is now a thing. The company recently dreamed up a slice of bacon formed in the shape of a Möbius strip, which is a surface with only one side and only one boundary component.

Well, sort of. Although the product's web site touts it as vegan and kosher, on the same page it reads: "Disclaimer for idiots: Don't eat it."

Drat. We knew it was too good to be true. Still, even though it's not edible it'll make for a nice stocking stuffer at only $19 a pop.

Not that this is the first time a food item has been morphed into Möbius-form. Earlier this year, math sculptor George W. Hart expertly sliced a bagel into two interlocking Mobius strips. And if you're in search of a meaty Möbius strip that you can actually eat, take a look at one created by blogger Anthony Cipolone of Mr. Onion's Neighborhood.

Watch the below video for an up-close look at Shapeways' Möbius strip bacon.
