The harsh reality of addiction exposed itself in a shocking and frightening moment on the latest installment of "Rehab with Dr. Drew." The group was enjoying an outing, that saw them experiencing the healing power of animals, when one of their own had a sudden attack.
Out of nowhere, Ashleigh tightened up and began to have what appeared to be a seizure. This was the closing moment of the episode, so viewers won't be able to see the aftermath of this incident until next week's episode.
But Ashleigh has a brutal history of alcoholism and is no stranger to the hospital. At only 31-years old, she's already been hospitalized for kidney failure. This was a result of her drinking a full liter of vodka every day before she finally got into rehab.
Hopefully, this will prove only a minor health scare, and maybe a needed wake-up call for Ashleigh and some of the others in the group about how serious these addictions can be, and how much damage they can do to the body.
