October started off with a bang this week, as a handful of celebrity couples were the subject of some juicy stories.
Some lovebirds, like Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman, and Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman, celebrated wonderful events, while others, including country star Jason Aldean and his wife Jessica, were torn apart by bad news.
Hathaway and Shulman tied the knot in Big Sur, Calif., in a private sunset ceremony on Sept. 29, while Barrymore and Kopelman finally announced the birth of their first child together, a daughter, Olive. Also, happy news came for another couple who have been battling the press for years -- Chris Brown and Rihanna. The former pair met up multiple times in NYC this week and were caught cuddling up together at Jay-Z's concert at Brooklyn Barclay's Center on Oct. 3. Brown even confessed that he ended things with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran to work on his friendship with RiRi.
In other news, Aldean was caught cheating on his wife of 10 years, Jessica, with former "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr. The country crooner admitted to the affair, saying, "I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself." Kerr also apologized for her "lapse in judgement."
As for Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, just when you thought their divorce drama was over, court documents were released revealing that their marriage was over six months before Holmes actually filed. (That explains the speedy settlement!)
