Kate Winslet Style Evolution: From '90s 'Titanic' Star to Red Carpet Glamazon (PHOTOS)

Now our little Rose Dawson is all grown up.

Kate Winslet has always been an unconventional starlet. From her early and unwavering devotion to art house films to her advocacy of body acceptance, in a strictly size zero business she's something of an anomaly. Her approach to style has been equally out of the Hollywood norm -- after all how many A-listers would let their 6 year-old daughter pick their Oscars dress?

Before she was the queen of understated red carpet glamour as we know her now, Kate had some serious '90s girl persuasions. When she first entered the public eye after her breakout role as Rose Dawson Calvert in the "Titanic" she rocked many a dark lip, awkward prom updo, and choker. But her laid back approach to style eventually shown through in a post-90s afterglow filled with lots of YSL gowns. At times her choices have been described as sartorially boring (she does have a thing for black dresses and blazers) but she sticks to what works for her and as a result is comfortable even when a hundred cameras are flashing.

But she's not one to shy away from showing some skin on the carpet (or the screen). Kate wears bodycon Herve Leger and Stella McCartney dresses with just as much confidence as her less curvaceous counterparts. And for good reason; she always looks babely. We can see why she's "sincerely grateful for [her] buttocks." We are too.

In honor of Kate Winslet's 37th birthday on October 5th we're taking a look back at her style over the years. Let us know which is your favorite by voting on the looks.
