T.J. Lang Rips Replacement Refs On Twitter: Packers Players Lash Out After Loss To Seahawks

Packers Lash Out On Twitter After Loss

Not surprisingly, the Green Bay Packers are not very happy with the NFL or its replacement referees. Perhaps no member of the Pack was more upset than guard T.J. Lang, who went on a profane Twitter rant after the Packers were defeated by a controversial Seahawks' touchdown on the final play on "Monday Night Football."

Trailing 12-7 with the ball on Green Bay's 24-yardline, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson launched a desperation pass into the end zone. Packers safety M.D. Jennings jumped up and appeared to catch the ball in a crowd with three other Green Bay defenders and Seattle receiver Golden Tate. As the players fell back down to the field, Tate got his hand(s) on the ball. After two officials ran over to the pile of players, one signaled a touchdown while the other signaled differently. After a review, the play was ruled a touchdown.

"It was awful," Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said after the game, via Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune. "Just look at the replay. And the fact that it was reviewed... It was awful. That's all I'm going to say about it."

Lang had a little more to say about it and took out his frustration on Twitter.

WARNING: OBSCENE LANGUAGE USED

Tight end Jermichael Finley also lashed out on Twitter, while Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop, who was placed on IR before the season began, went on a rant about accountability.
