Robbery has soared 77 percent on CTA trains, buses and platforms in the last three years, the Sun-Times reports.
According the the Chicago Police Department, theft -- which is when no force is involved -- is up 6 percent in the same period.
About 25 percent of the 436 robberies took place on the west branches of the Blue and Green lines.
