In an interview with Us Weekly, Michelle Obama unveiled five little-known facts about herself-- including what she does while the president is away.

"Sometimes I let our Portuguese Water Dog, Bo, sleep in our bed when Barack is gone," Obama told the entertainment magazine.

Bo, who joined the Obama family in 2009, has been trotted out a few times during the campaign, most notably in a campaign ad celebrating his third anniversary in the White House.

"He is the smartest dog on the planet," the First Lady told David Letterman in March. "He is my son. I have two girls and a boy ... He's very well-mannered, he's very even-tempered. He has a busy schedule, I mean appearances... we're thinking about getting him an agent."

In the Us Weekly interview, Obama also revealed that she skipped the second grade, loves sports, and enjoys trying local delicacies during her campaign-related travels.

"I've tried everything from local farmers' market produce in North Carolina to fried Twinkies in Iowa," she said.
