This Backyard Transforms From Plain To Party-Ready On A Budget (VIDEO)

Designing a large outdoor space can be tough, especially when working with a strict budget. But the designers from HGTV's Design On A Dime have it down pat. Working with only $2,000, they managed to turn this family's bare (and boring) backyard into a party-ready oasis.

The team installed a beautiful pergola complete with billowing drapes that offer shade to the dining and sitting area. They painted the family's existing wicker furniture to give it a fresh look and added red accents that pop in the space. The dining table even has an amazing addition: A trough in the middle that can either be a centerpiece or hold drinks and other party essentials.

One of the best aspects of the transformed backyard is the unique cinder block wall garden. It adds a natural element without going overboard. But our favorite part of this makeover? The wall art that doubles as...a movie screen. And judging by the jaw-dropping effect it had on the husband, we're pretty sure it's his favorite part too!
