Teachers Eating Bugs In Bay City, Michigan (VIDEO)

If you bring an apple to one of these teachers, you better make sure there's a worm squirming inside of it.

Four elementary school teachers in Bay City, Mich., feasted on insects in front of their bug-eyed pupils on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

The quartet of teachers at Kolb Elementary had promised to dine on worms and crickets if their students raised more than $500 during a reading drive in March, the Bay City Times said.

Seated at a big table in front of a first-grade class, video shows Gina Anderson, Bob Pawlak, Angela Armendarez and Jamie Godie gobbling up the creepy crawlies on red plates with a much-needed bottle of water on the side to wash it all down.

The youngsters appear ecstatic, cheering and raising their arms for the gutsy, bib-wearing teachers.

The kids read more than 15,000 minutes last month and, in the process, exceeded the target by raising a total $651 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
