Hugh Jackman As Jean Valjean: 'Les Miserables' Star Tweets Photo From Set

Do you hear the people the tweet? When "the people" is Hugh Jackman, and the tweet is a new photo of his Jean Valjean convict look for "Les Miserables," then the answer is yes.

Jackman has been spotted on the set of "Les Miserables" in recent days -- there's even a paparazzi video of him singing -- but the actor took it upon himself to tweet an official first peek at Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's star-studded big-screen take on the famed musical, which itself was adapted from Victor Hugo's equally famed novel.

"Very excited about how the first days of filming are going!" Jackman wrote. "Check out my convict look...but its changing soon."

Directed by Hooper -- who won Best Director in 2011 for "The King's Speech" -- this new version of "Les Miserables" stars Jackman, as well as Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thénardier, Sacha Baron Cohen as Monsieur Thénardier, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, and newcomer Samantha Barks as Eponine.
