Spring Weather Ahead In Chicago: Unseasonable Warmth In The Forecast (VIDEO)

Picture Perfect Forecast? Warm, Springish Weather Ahead

The month of March has already gotten off to an almost record-shatteringly warm start, and that trend is set to continue with temperatures some 20 degrees warmer than normal in Chicago's forecast for the next two weeks.

The Chicago Tribune reports that daytime temperatures in the area will be in the 60s and 70s through next weekend and into the following week. Monday's forecast specifically predicts a high temperature of 66 with rain and a small chance of thunderstorms.

According to the Chicago Weather Center, the threat of thunderstorms will continue in the days ahead as the mild temperatures can bring with them heightened levels of moisture in the air.

Illinois's winter registered as the state's third warmest on record. And the milder weather has spelled trouble for some -- particularly those enduring an early onset of spring allergies.
