Kraftwerk To Perform At MoMA For Eight Consecutive Evenings

Kraftwerk To Electrify MoMA For 8 Consecutive Evenings

Fans of electro, robotic tunes are rejoicing with news that Kraftwerk will be performing eight consecutive nights at the Museum of Modern Art for a newly announced retrospective starting in April.

The live presentation “Kraftwerk-Retrospective 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" will explore their pioneering electronic music and each of their eight, groundbreaking studio albums with a unique set of projected images (some 3-D ones too):

Kraftwerk will follow each evening’s album performance with additional compositions from their catalog, all adapted specifically for this exhibition. This reinterpretation showcases Kraftwerk’s historical contributions to and contemporary influence on global sound and image culture.

Kraftwerk was formed by German students Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in the 1970's and has since been an iconic favorite in the experimentalist music genre. DJ Tim Mohr described the band's influence and said, "Kraftwerk broke ground on an autobahn along which an entire alternative history of music soon hurtled forward. In so doing, they became the starting point for basically everything we take for granted as progressive and cool in music today."

Tickets are $25 and will go on sale to the public February 22 at noon. Till then, we recommend you bookmark this URL for safe keepings.
