Sydney Ross Singer is a medical anthropologist researcher, author, and director of the Institute for the Study of Culturogenic Disease, a program of the Good Shepherd Foundation. He is an outspoken defender of animals in both the field of medicine and environmental management. Syd and his family live on Hawaii Island on a rainforest preserve where they grow their own food, produce their own energy, and perform lifestyle research on various culture caused diseases.
