Professor Emeritus of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. Fellow and former president of ACM (The Association for Computing Machinery). A fellow and former president of The Computing Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB), and a fellow of ABET.

Previously served on the Board of Directors of the Computing Research Association, and continues to chair CRA's Survey's Committee, which conducts the annual Taulbee Survey of Ph.D.-granting computer science and computer engineering departments in North America.

Consultant for many universities world-wide on accreditation-related matters. Research interests are in software engineering and computer science education -- BS, City College of New York, MS and Ph.D. Purdue University.
