I've been fortunate to have had one of the world's greatest jobs, a successful 30-year long career as an automotive journalist. If you’ve ever read a car, truck or motorcycle magazine or website, including those ranging from Motor Trend to Cycle World and of course, The Huffington Post, you’ve probably read my work or seen my photos.
Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Rockville Centre on Long Island, I spent my teenage and adult years in the headquarters of the car world, southern California. In time, the SEMA Show, Tokyo Motor Show, Los Angeles Auto Show and other major car events were on my annual schedule.

I’ve been honored with two Los Angeles-area Emmy Awards for my work as a television reporter (at KTLA/TV5 and KCBS/TV2 in Los Angeles), created, produced and hosted the first automotive radio show on a national commercial network, wrote a weekly car column for the national Times-Mirror Syndicate, and worked on the staffs of magazines including industry journal Automotive Fleet as well as Popular Mechanics, Petersen’s Four Wheel Off-Road and Race Boat and Industry News. I also hosted and produced a weekly automotive TV show for Time-Warner in Palm Springs, CA, where I lived for several years.

Other high points include working for Mickey Thompson and doing PR for his events, the first off-road stadium races ever, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, interviewed Jackie Stewart in his Hotel Bel Air bungalow, hanging out with Carroll Shelby and doing PR and marketing work for Gale Banks and Jim Wangers, marketer of the original Pontiac GTO, and I ghost-wrote his book, Glory Days. There were also several years as a successful freelance general interest writer, contributing to most of the airline in-flight magazines, collectible publications and health and fitness monthlies.

It's been a wild, fun ride which I hope continues for many more years. And thanks for your interest in my work. Right now I am working on a book project in another field tentatively titled "Surviving Your Health Care."
