Shanna B. Van Ness

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Shanna Van Ness has worked for the City University of New York in many capacities – Student Services, Human Resources, Training & Staff Development, and lastly, as Technology Trainer CUNY’s technology implementation.

Shanna is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in public management and leadership at Walden University. At this time, she is in the proposal writing stage of her dissertation examining gender diversity in male dominant work environments.

Shanna is an active member of the National Association of Professional Women New York City Chapter in which she believes surrounding yourself with powerful, insightful, and courageous women is key to building strategic networks.
