ROSHANAK TAGHAVI is a journalist who has reported from from New York, Cairo, New Delhi, Mumbai, Tehran, Lima, Dubai and Washington, D.C. She has written on economics, politics and culture for The Christian Science Monitor, TIME, The Guardian, PBS Frontline-Tehran Bureau (now hosted by The Guardian), The New Republic, Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal and Al Ahram Weekly.

Roshanak has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, a Bachelor of Science from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College (Go Eagles!), and has studied at the University of Paris IV (Sorbonne).

A lover of economics (yes, it's true), Roshanak has published academic research essays on Persian Gulf economies in The British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies and the premier Italian economic journal Banca Nazionale del Lavoro Quarterly Review.  Her favorite poets are Pablo Neruda and Forough Farrokhzad.
