Paul Robert is a travel writer and photographer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Robert has worked as a freelance writer and photographer for the past 20 years, after a career in wire agency journalism.
Before establishing himself as an independent writer, Robert worked as a newspaper reporter, as a local hire for the AP and as editor-in-chief for the Netherlands and European regional editor for the Inter Press Service news agency.
As a travel writer he is a regular contributor to several Dutch magazines and newspapers, including "De Reisgids" published by the Netherlands Consumers Association, and the financial daily newspaper Financieele Dagblad.
Over the years Robert visited dozens of countries worldwide and over 30 states in the lower 48.
