Natasha Chen is now a general assignment reporter for WREG-TV in Memphis, TN. She was previously an anchor and reporter for KXXV in Waco and Killeen, Texas.

Before becoming an on-air reporter, Natasha covered critical events in the 2008 presidential campaigns as a citizen reporter with Huffington Post's "Off the Bus" project.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Natasha graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in psychology from Stanford University and was a dean's scholar at the University of Southern California, where she earned a masters degree in broadcast journalism.

For her graduate thesis, Natasha used her Mandarin to produce a documentary on democracy in Taiwan, featuring an exclusive interview with the Taiwanese president. In 2008, she also followed the U.S. presidential elections in the Southwest, which led her to discover Central Texas.

In Killeen, Natasha was first to go live from the Fort Hood shootings of Nov. 5, 2009. In addition to crime, she typically covered city politics, education and consumer advocacy stories.

When she's not reporting, Natasha loves to sing and dance.

She's done musical theater in California, Texas and even Oxford, England, and directed Stanford Mixed Company a cappella group in college.

She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
