Filmmakers, The Last Survivor

Michael Pertnoy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 where he received a dual degree in Communications and Visual Studies with a concentration in Art, Practice and Technology. Michael is the founder of Righteous Pictures, a film production company and activist organization that creates documentaries and other visual media related to social justice. The company is currently at work on a feature documentary, The Last Survivor, which focuses on genocide awareness, prevention, and survivor advocacy. Michael is currently a Carl Wilkens Fellow at the Genocide Intervention Network.

Michael Kleiman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 where he received a degree in Film Theory and Criticism. He recently received a Fulbright Scholarship from the United States State Department. Over the past two years he has worked on a series of short documentaries highlighting the work of the College Board and the Gates Foundation in the area of Public Education Reform. Michael is currently working with Righteous Pictures on a feature length documentary film, The Last Survivor, which focuses on genocide awareness, prevention and advocacy. He has worked as an editor and crewmember with acclaimed directors Andrew Bujalski and Albert Maysles.
