Maureen Dumas is the Vice President of Experiential Education and Career Services at Johnson & Wales University. Based at the University’s Providence campus, she works to place nearly 4,100 students in formalized, progressive internships each year. Johnson & Wales University has a long and comprehensive commitment to directed and applied work experience, having offered experiential education opportunities for several decades. A 24-year veteran of higher education with a strong background in admissions and recruiting, she has been in her current position since 2009. She has spoken on the topic of experiential education at multiple conferences, is a graduate of the Experiential Education Academy through the National Society of Experiential Education and currently serves on the board of the World Association of Cooperative Education.
