Matthew McCluskey

Matthew McCluskey is coordinator of academic support at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. A 1999 graduate of St. Lawrence, McCluskey teaches in the University's First-Year Program and is a counselor and instructor in the Higher Education Opportunity Program. He works regularly with students who are developing their note-taking, test preparation, communication, and time management skills or exploring their academic interests. McCluskey is especially interested in helping students develop active reading strategies and connecting them with engaged learning opportunities around campus. He took a master's degree in political science at Duke University and has extensive training in helping students with learning disabilities and special needs.
