Mari Fagel

Mari Fagel Henderson is an attorney and on-air legal analyst who shares her insight and commentary on the legal and courtroom stories making headlines today. Her experience practicing in civil litigation and having worked at all levels of the criminal justice system gives her the ability to offer a legal perspective to any headline story.

Mari has worked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, in the Major Crimes division, an elite unit that prosecutes high profile criminal cases. She also worked in the Cook County Public Defender's Office in Chicago and at the California Court of Appeal, where she assisted with judicial opinions on whether to uphold or reverse criminal convictions. Mari currently works at one of California's top personal injury firms, which specializes in medical malpractice.

Mari has appeared on E! News, Oxygen’s Snapped, Investigation Discovery’s Blood Relatives and several specials on Reelz – including Hollywood Scandals and The Kennedy Files. She also appeared on CNN's special on Trayvon Martin and WGN's special on the Drew Peterson case.

Mari’s written legal analysis has appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, The Huffington Post, Yahoo, HLN online, Salon, BuzzFeed, BlogHer and Galtime. She has also contributed to radio programs, including Geraldo Rivera’s show, CBS News radio in Los Angeles, ABC News radio in San Francisco and WWRL in New York.

Previously, Mari was an on-air reporter for NY1 News, Time Warner Cable’s 24-hour local news channel in New York City. She has also hosted several online web shows, including legal & crime webcasts Justice is Served on Black Hollywood Live and The CrimeLine with Jon Leiberman on Wild About Trial.

Mari attended Northwestern University, where she received both her masters and bachelors degrees from the Medill School of Journalism. She graduated from, and received her juris doctor from, UCLA Law School in her hometown of Los Angeles.
