A longtime travel writer and photographer, Kip Patrick has gotten lost in close to 100 countries. His work has been published by National Geographic, Men's Journal, and CNN International, and other mainstream (and not-so-mainstream) media. When not gainfully employed, he can be found backpacking in faraway locales, though he’s never found a destination as intriguing as his home state, Louisiana, where he earned a degree in journalism. He and his wife were named National Geographic Travelers of the Year in 2014 after an 18-month trip volunteering their way around the world.
