Father, Mindfulness Author, and Professor of Communication

On a hot summer day, while standing outside my front door with my wife and a good friend, I found myself unexpectedly hurled into an arduous 10-year journey toward self-awareness, thanks to their brutally candid feedback on my inability to listen. During that decade, I studied the concept of mindfulness while pursuing a Ph.D. in communication studies, and my research led me to examine the impact of being more mindful within the context of fathers and their children. Today, my passion is in sharing what I learned, both through sometimes difficult experience and through what I observed by working with others. Becoming more mindful and self-aware is not easy, but in doing so, we provide greater presence to our loved ones, reduce our stress and anxiety, and learn to mitigate the impact of life within the Age of Distraction.
