JD Schramm

JD Schramm is a lover of life and advocate for conversations that make a difference for people. As a speaker, writer and educator, he enjoys bringing out the best in those he encounters. Since 2007, he has served on the faculty at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business where he leads the Mastery in Communication Initiative and teaches numerous elective courses. He frequently coaches student entrepreneurs and aspiring leaders in telling their story effectively. An occasional contributor to The Huffington Post and the Harvard Business Review, Schramm often reflects on how much he learns from his own students.



Schramm earned his BFA in Theatre from Emporia State University, his MBA from New York University, and his Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on the board of Out for Undergrad. An avid TEDster, he has attended TEDActive for the past four years and treasures the chance to watch and share TED Talks with others. He is married to the Rev. Ken Daigle and in the summer of 2013 they are expecting their first child through the blessings of an open adoption.
