Senior Policy Analyst, ACLU Speech, Privacy and Technology Program

Jay Stanley is the Public Education Director of the Technology and Liberty Program of the ACLU, where he researches, writes and speaks about privacy and civil liberties issues related to technology.

He is the author and co-author of numerous ACLU reports and white papers including Bigger Monster, Weaker Chains, The Surveillance-Industrial Complex, Science Under Siege, and What’s Wrong With Fusion Centers? He co-chaired the 2009 Computers, Freedom and Privacy (CFP) Conference in Washington, DC, and has appeared in numerous television, radio and print outlets around the country.
