Jackie Jenkins-Scott

President Emeritus, Wheelock College

Jackie Jenkins-Scott served for 12 years as the thirteenth President of Wheelock College, a private college in Boston, Massachusetts with a public mission to improve the lives of children and families. Under President Jenkins-Scott’s leadership, Wheelock strengthened its core undergraduate and graduate academic programs, enhanced the undergraduate experience, and expanded the College’s reach internationally. She emphasized cross-disciplinary collaboration and community partnerships. President Jenkins-Scott completed her 12-year presidency at Wheelock at the end of June, 2016.

Going forward, Jackie was named a Senior Fellow in the UMass Boston Fellowship Program for Distinguished Service Public Leaders, a new initiative at the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy, based at the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. President Jenkins-Scott was also recently named a Senior Leadership Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
