Hahrie Han is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Wellesley College and the mother of two living children. She is the author of Moved to Action: Motivation, Participation, and Inequality in American Politics, and has published widely on political activism and community organizing, writing about the ways people come together to transform their communities for the better. She also writes about her experiences as a parent, since parenting and organizing are really about the same thing -- helping people learn to exercise their own agency. She is the daughter of Korean immigrants, proudly grew up in Texas, and now lives in Arlington, MA with her family.
