Emilie Davidson Hoyt

Founder and President, LATHER

Emilie Davidson Hoyt learned at an early age how natural ingredients can positively affect both body and mind. A lifelong migraine sufferer, Emilie discovered that many of her headaches were triggered by the synthetic fragrances found in most beauty products. After finding some relief from lavender essential oil, Emilie began studying the benefits of natural ingredients and aromatherapy, and ultimately created LATHER, a collection of body and skin care products that draw on only pure essential oils, and never synthetic perfumes. Emilie opened the first LATHER flagship store in Pasadena, CA in 1999; today, others stand in Atlanta, Fairfax and Scottsdale. A long-time supporter of the National Headache Foundation for migraine awareness and education, Emilie has been a recipient of the organization’s Patient Partners and Golden Trumpet Awards. A member of the Young Presidents Organization, Emilie lives in Pasadena with her husband, Rob, and two children.
