Edmund C. Case

Founder and CEO, InterfaithFamily

Edmund C. Case is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of InterfaithFamily.com, Inc., a Jewish non-profit organization that encourages interfaith couples to make Jewish choices by offering resources like The Guide to Wedding Ceremonies for Interfaith Couples and the Jewish Clergy Officiation Referral Service.

Ed graduated from Yale in 1972 and from Harvard Law School in 1975. He practiced law for 22 years and was chair of the business litigation department of a major Boston law firm. In May 1999 he earned Master's Degrees in Jewish Communal Service and in Management at the Heller-Hornstein Program at Brandeis University. Ed is a past president of a large Reform synagogue, and served for many years on the URJ Northeast Regional Outreach Committee and on Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston's Task Force on Services to the Intermarried. He founded InterfaithFamily.com, Inc. as an independent non-profit in October 2001. He is co-editor of The Guide to Jewish Interfaith Family Life: An InterfaithFamily.com Handbook (Jewish Lights) and author of Interfaith Families Making Jewish Choices (Jewish Lights, Lifelights series) and writes frequently on intermarriage issues. In November 2001 Ed was named to The Forward 50. He and his wife Wendy, who converted to Judaism in 2004 after they had been married for 30 years, are the parents of Emily, born in 1978, and Adam, born in 1982.
