Deborah Derrick

Deb Derrick is the former President of Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and serves on the board of the NGO alliance InterAction. Ms. Derrick previously served as Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, working on global health programs, advocacy, grants, and collaborations with the U.S. government and advising the foundation on global health-related leadership visits to Washington, D.C. Prior to this, Deb served as Executive Director of the Better World Campaign, leading efforts to foster a stronger relationship between the US and UN through outreach and advocacy. Earlier in her career, Deb worked as a senior advisor at the State Department, on Capitol Hill, and for the United Nations. She received her Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Duke University.
