Carol J. Carter

Author and student success expert

Based on Carol Carter's work overseas and the urgent need to improve education in the United States, Carol founded the GlobalMindED Conference to bring a new standard to education with faculty, policymakers, and innovators from around the world. The upcoming conference will be held on June 9-11, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. Since the publication of her first book, Majoring in the Rest of Your Life: Career Secrets for College Students, Carol has been a featured expert, keynote speaker, and educational pioneer for students by emphasizing what the professional world expects and demands from graduates. As a VP in corporate America and later as an entrepreneur, Carol has helped American students understand how they can go toe-to-toe with their counterparts from around the world in this dynamic, flat, global economy. Her best-selling series for college freshmen, Keys to Success, has been translated into Spanish, Chinese, and Arabic. As an international speaker, she has worked with and spoken at international organizations in Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America. She is president of LifeBound, which provides success resources for fifth through twelfth graders and conducts trainings in academic coaching skills for professors, educators, parents, and students.
