Bradford Frost

Detroit Revitalization Fellow, Detroit Institute of Arts

Bradford Frost is a Detroit Revitalization Fellow at the Detroit Institute of Arts where he works to accelerate the DIA's efforts in Detroit’s multifaceted revitalization priorities. His work has included designing and curating the community photography project, “Reveal Your Detroit,” and developing the “Cultural Living Room,” an ArtPlace America Project to help transform the museum’s role in the community into a vibrant center of creative exchange for metro Detroit residents and professionals.

A former AmeriCorps*NCCC national service member, Community Fellow with United Way of America, and Strategist with United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Bradford has a proven track record for effecting organizational change that best engages the talents and capacity of individuals, organizations and communities. From United Way's “Reading Village,” which led to a social innovation award from the Corporation for National and Community Service and strategic leadership on United Way’s Agenda for Change, a 20 year investment process built from a groundbreaking community engagement process.

Bradford has been published in the Detroit Free Press, MetroMode Media, and The New York Times. He volunteers with Declare Detroit and serves as board chair for the Afghan Scholars Initiative. He also keeps a blog on Social Justice and the American Dream in Detroit at DetroitOpportunityProject.com.
