Boris Mamlyuk

Boris Mamlyuk is a professor at the University of Memphis, School of Law, where he teaches contracts and international and comparative law courses. After working as a commercial litigator for a national law firm, Mamlyuk decided to pursue a doctorate in international law and economics. He served as a 2008-2009 Fulbright Fellow conducting research on the history of international law in Russia and current U.S./Russia relations at the Institute of State and Law at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Mamlyuk's other research interests are international development, energy and security issues (particularly concerning the former USSR), and green energy.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Mamlyuk served as a full-time volunteer coordinator and regional field organizer with the Obama campaign in four primary states. In addition, he also briefly worked as finance director for a congressional candidate in Alaska. As a commentator on politics and international relations, Boris Mamlyuk has been a featured speaker in forums sponsored by Moscow's Higher School of Economics, Russian State University for the Humanities, the American Center in Moscow and has been a featured guest on RussiaToday.

Born in the former USSR, Mamlyuk was raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and his Ph.D. from the University of Turin, Faculty of Law.
