Don.t Throw Away the Crust

Antoinette is a traveler who feels at home all over the world. Influenced by the myriad of people around her and driven by her passion for travel, she discovered culture unlike ever before. Traveling to over 10 countries, she found interest in people, places, cuisine and natural resources off the beaten path. A Los Angeles native whose love of learning led her to study biology and later earn her Master’s of Arts in Teaching in Curriculum and Instruction both at Howard University in Washington D.C.

Antoinette is a former educator and 2011 Teacher of the Year nominee and in June 2013 shared her passion for travel with 11 of her students journeying to Belize for a cultural and science enrichment exchange. In October 2013, Antoinette returned to Brazil, the one place that proved to have a hold on her heart, and thereby fueled her desire to capture its beauty through journaling and photography. Antoinette is now a blogger and photographer working full time to find the “crusts” of the world and share their stories through the Don.t Throw Away the Crust brand.
