Anita Verma

Anita Verma grew up in Phoenix has been involved in her father’s real estate company, Vermaland, from an early age. Anita holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Her prior work experience includes working for many national leading brands including Honeywell, Boeing, American Express, and Vermaland.

After earning her MBA, Verma worked at Honeywell, where she developed a keen knowledge and expertise in the photovoltaic industry – an up-and-coming industry in Arizona. By 2008, solar companies were buying land in Arizona and Verma moved full-time into the family business where she leveraged her significant knowledge and solar industry contacts with great success. Verma headed the solar division within Vermaland and entered into agreements with over 25 solar developers.

Verma has always been active in the community. In 2013, Verma and her sister, Jennifer Verma, formed the Verma Charitable Foundation. This foundation sponsors student scholarships and a proposed religious retreat center in the Valley. Verma, is also a volunteer at the Hindu Temple of Arizona and at Sikh Temples of Arizona. She enjoys running, soccer and spending time with her family.
