"You can see how terrified they are," says the founder of an African sanctuary after seeing a "proof of life" video sent by kidnappers.

The health crisis comes as the African country battles COVID-19 and the world’s largest measles outbreak.
More than 1,600 people have died since August in what is the second-deadliest Ebola outbreak in history.
The virus has killed more than 190 people in the country since the outbreak was declared in August.
An active conflict zone and rising infections among health care workers are helping to spread the deadly disease.
The news comes just a week after the country announced the end of its ninth Ebola outbreak.
